Christmas is twelve days away, folks! Let me repeat that: Christmas is twelve days away! I’m nowhere near ready for it yet. I’d like to say that it’s because it snuck up on me this year because of our move or because I’ve been preoccupied with work and writing but it’s just not true. Christmas has been on my radar for months, probably since we unpacked our boxes. I had the corner underneath the staircase picked out for the Christmas tree almost since day one. I told Tim back in October we needed to figure out what the kids would like Santa to bring them so we could make arrangements well in advance.
Well guess what? The tree didn’t fit in that corner and we did exactly zero planning to make our lives a little easier this holiday season. We did decorate immediately after Thanksgiving, get some shopping done online, and bake some cookies (priorities, people) but we’re not close to the finish line. To add to our stress, we’ll be visiting our families this weekend to celebrate the holiday and this cuts those twelve days down considerably. One of the things I hadn’t gotten to was Christmas cards.
I completely failed to send out Christmas cards last year. Since we’re further away from family and friends this year, I wanted to make sure I’d send something to let them know we’re thinking about them. I needed an option that didn’t require a ton of effort on my part though because I’m already feeling overwhelmed. By the grace of God, Kodak Moments reached out to me to see if I’d like to try their app that let’s me order photo prints, cards, invitations, and other photo products right from my phone. Um, yes please!
In keeping with the holiday spirit, I’m sharing this little life hack with you. From now until Friday, December 18, I’ll be hosting a giveaway for 100 4 x 8″ flat cards from Kodak. If you’ve already sent out your holiday cards no worries, you can order invitations, announcements, or even thank you cards…all from your phone. You can download the app through the Apple Store or Google Play.
